What a Cali Fit Class Looks Like

Our All Levels Calisthenics Class follows a structured format to ensure a comprehensive workout that targets all major muscle groups. Here's what you can expect in a typical class:

  1. Warm-Up: We begin with a warm-up to prepare your muscles and joints for the workout ahead. This normally takes the form of dynamic stretches to loosen up your shoulders, scapula, arms, and, most importantly, your wrists.
  2. Strength Workout: The first third of the class consists of strength training. Our coaches will guide you through a series of bodyweight exercises, such as push-ups, pull-ups, squats, lunges, and planks, with each exercise performed in sets and reps. Too easy or too difficult? Variations are provided to match your fitness level to ensure a challenge is always present.
  3. Skill Development: The next part of the class introduces some more advanced calisthenics movements, such as muscle-ups, handstands, and skin-the-cats. These skills not only build strength but also improve coordination and body control. Step-by-step instructions and tips will be provided continuously to help you master these movements safely.
  4. Circuit Training: At the end of each class, a station-based circuit will be set up to provide a challenge for everyone attending the class, giving a range of cardiovascular benefits. While we always encourage you to push yourself, we make sure you stay within your limits to ensure safety for all involved.

  • Lucas Roseman: Lucas is a dedicated calisthenics athlete and coach with a passion for pushing the boundaries of physical fitness. Having competed at the prestigious Arnold's Fitness Expo twice, Lucas has proven his mettle on the big stage. He has also claimed victory at the South West Regionals in street lifting and is ranked among the UK's top 5 street lifters in the under 73kg category.
  • Johnathan Timms: John brings years of coaching experience to our team, specialising in developing tailored training programmes for people of all levels. John ensures every Saturday class is both challenging and rewarding.
